 
Steve Curley, School Director
Steve was with the Auerbach School when it first began in 1960. He brings years of camp experiences. Steve also directs the All Cape Hoop Camps with K.C. Jones as well as the Maine Red Claws Academy in Portland, ME. He has a particular knack for programming and has worked hard to create the challenging programs offered at camp intended to make our campers better for having attended. He spent 18 years as a teacher/coach in public education and 20 years as an executive in the sporting goods industry. If you have been to a Curley directed camp you know that he truly cares about young people not only on the court but as an advocate for education and strong academic achievements. His enthusiasm and expertise has helped him to attract quality personnel who share his philosophies and dedication to the Red Auerbach Basketball School.

Key Administrative Staff
Don Grimes

Don is our Program director, having moved up the ranks over the years from coach to Commissioner to now heading our daily programming. He has retired as head coach of Medway High School to give more time to his position as the School’s Intervention Officer and to officiating. Don is an imposing figure at 6’5” and is respected by staff for his knowledge of the game and his willingness to help. Players had best be nice to Don as he may be doing one of your games this year!!!!
Darnell Myers
Everyone who has ever been to the Red Auerbach School, remembers Darnell. He is a strong and outspoken personality, loved by the staff and the players. He has been with our program for over 20 years and is currently the Commissioner of our College Division. He was an assistant to John Thompson at Georgetown University and is currently the Varsity Assistant Coach and Head Coach of
the J.V program at Springbook High
School in Maryland.
Alik Taylor
Alik
is a resident of Hyannis on Cape Cod were he teaches history
at Barnstable High School and
is the Head Women's Coach at Dennis-Yarmouth High School. Alik
is
a great clinician, and teacher. He heads up our College Division
along with Darnell and is a great asset to our staff in sharing
information and knowledge of the game.

Pete Cavari
Pete comes to us from Ft. Lauderdale
where he coached three sports and was selected as the Florida
Coach of the Year. He has retired as assistant principal, and coach at South Plantation High School. He is a real taskmaster and a great stats guy as he serves as Co-Commissioner of the Pro Division.
Doug
Pasquerella:
Doug
returned to his first love, coaching at the high school level. He resigned as Head Coach at the State University of New York in New Paltz. to return to Homer High School as Head Coach and Physical Education teacher.
Can it be possible to make stretching and exercise fun? Just give
the microphone
to Doug and get out of the way. He wakes everyone up each morning
with his workouts and helps to start us off on a positive
note.
He is a league commissioner dealing with records,
standing, rosters, and compliance.
Key Coaching Staff
Floyd Butler
Floyd has been with the Auerbach School for many years and has had a powerful influence on lots of his players. Floyd is from Philadelphia, and though he cheers for the wrong pro teams we still love him at camp. He is now the Head Coach at Springfield Township High School in Pennsylvania.
Donald Morris

Donald is a local guy from Somerville, MA where he excelled as a multi-sport athlete. He is without reservation, one of our more popular coaches and our campers all really want to be able to play for Donald. He is a strong motivator, very good with x’s and o’s and a very good teacher. Donald is Head Coach at Lesley College in Cambridge, MA.
Edson Cardoso
Edson is a graduate of Hellenic College and also received his Master's Degree in Business. He has worked at both the Aeurbach School and the Cape Camps for the Hoop Group, Inc. He volunteers his time at the Daniel Marr Boys and Girls Club in addition to being the Head Coach and full time teacher at Charlestown High School.
Joe Pierpeoli
Joe is a graduate of our school. He attended camp when he was in high school and after the required time off, we were able to bring him back as an official/counselor. He quickly showed his coaching talents and he was moved to our pro division where he has one league titles and is always in the hunt. After many years at Rhode Island Community College and the highly regarded St. Andrews School, Joe is now assisting his good friend Jason Rojee at Medway High School.
Jason Rojee
Jason has been with our program for over 5 years now and has become a real threat to take his team to the finals every year. He is currently a History teacher and Head Basketball Coach at Medway High School in Massachusetts. In his "spare" time he also coaches the Women's Soccer Team at Medway High. In 2007, both his teams won their league championships! He is a terrific and talented coach and we are proud to have him as part of our staff. Jason was recently married to Aubree the lady that is so important to camp as our head of the Camp Bank and Store. You will all enjoy meeting and talking with her maybe even more than Jason!!
